Modern concept in HafenCity

The coast by east is located at the end of the Großer Grasbrook, directly below the Marco Polo Tower and in the immediate vicinity of the Hamburg Cruise Center. The coast by east already impresses from the outside with its special architecture. The strikingly curved roof construction was designed by the architect collective EMBT from Barcelona and is modeled on the open flapping of a seagull's wings. With the soft curve of the roof and the round building flank, the building object creates a pleasant visual change from the otherwise angular design of the HafenCity buildings.

The interior of the restaurant is flooded with light and inviting. In the warm summer months, the window front, which can be opened completely, combines the spacious terrace and the interior restaurant area to form a large open space with high ceilings and a sophisticated lighting concept.

Discover the floor-to-ceiling, walk-in wine cabinet in the entrance area, the open bar with its decorative back buffet and the plant wall in the restaurant that is completely planted with real plants.

The "little Italian", the coast enoteca, is located one floor below on the waterfront ground floor.

Diverse menu

The coast by east has a lot to offer in culinary terms and is particularly popular with fans of modern Asian cuisine. At the open sushi counter in the middle of the restaurant, there is hustle and bustle every day when the team of sushi chefs around sushi master Lobsang Lama brings the guests roll by roll. Fresh sashimi slices, nigiris, maki rolls and colorful inside-out rolls with creative fillings, toppings and sauces leave the pass every minute.

If you are lucky, you can watch a freshly caught tuna being cut up twice a week in a professional and impressively fast manner.

But the coast by east kitchen can do even more: Chef Jonas Straube and his team create refined and varied dishes with meat, fish and also vegetarian, which are ideally served in family food style in the center of the table. Lots of small dishes to share become the greatest possible taste experience.

But you should definitely save a little space for the coast pâtisserie, because with the sweets served, even those who don't like desserts will be taught better.
